October inspirations - Nicecrane

It is October, a month filled with all the wonderful colors of fall... and not to say the color pink to remind us and support the cause against breastcancer.... and the holiday all children (of all ages) never get enough of Halloween....
So today we the girls her at StampARTic where so lucky as to be sponsored by Nicecrane Designs with images that we used in all our different projects.

This is an example of one of the wonderful files you can get from Nicecrane Designs

Pink isn't really my color...but I couldn't resist using one of the beautiful vintage images for a image transfer. I have to admit that besides from the pink details in the picture and the organza ribbon it turned out to be a rather black "pink card".

I transferred the image to a piece of chipboard covered with ordinary tin foil.  A top coat of Decoart Patio paint Clearcoat. I love the effect of image transfer to tin foil, it really gives the picture an "inner glow"

The frame is also made from tin foil (glued to a piece of cardstock). I used an embossingfolder from Provo Craft/Cuttlebug and then applied several washes of Decoart Carbon Black acrylic
paint to give it a weathered, aged look.

Here is my pink card..
I have used Aleenes True Snow to make 3D feelings on the edges with a stecil from The Crafters Workshop, 3 sorts of ribbon/lca to make it feminin, Swirl die, a tag dies from Magnolia, and some Washitape from here and there..  :) And last but not least, the supercool image is from Nicecrane.

I don't make autumn cards very often, even though I really love the color of autumn! I sneaked in a little pumpkin on my card. For me it symbolise the autumn and harvest - not just halloween.

All the lovely patterned papers + the pumpkin motive are from Nicecrane. I think the papers are ment to be lettersize from start, but I just made them 14x14 cm before I printed and got a pattern that works just fine on small cards.

I distressed the edges with an edge scraper + distress ink. Even the lace got a touch with the brown ink to become more "autumn-ish".

The swirled paperflower is homemade from the patterned papers - it's super easy to cut yourself! I also put some brown distress ink on the orange flowers. Word stamp is from InkyWings.

I had so much fun creating with my images from Nicecrane... They are so versatile and fabulous to work with, and one image can me used in so many different ways...  First of all I want to show you a card I made with the topic of pink and breastcancer in mind.. I actual went down to my beach and got some shells to use.

As you can see I also played with some mists, paints, mediums and more... I just had a blast..

For my second project I just had to make one of the wonderful Halloween cones you get from Nicecrane.. they are jus so fun to play with... This cone I have filled with some scrappingcandy as you see...  I have also put on a coat of crackle paint, dabbed over with black distress ink and used a damp cloth to take off the ink from the top... so that the cracks really shows...

Pink is actually one of my favorite colors. So for this project I wanted to make a Art Journal page. I use the Vintage Vanity journal from Prima. Great for those not so big projects. I fell in love with this Victorian Art collection Pack. And the image i choosed, is perfect for The Pink month in my mind.

First I used mod pogde to adhere the image. Then I took a cheesecloth and glued down with mod podge and I was generous because I wanted the texture. I had some gesso over the egdes and the cheese cloth before I misted it with Lindys Stamp Gang mist. I used some texture paste and one of TH stencils to create the "sun" in the upper left corner. Then I used some Viva decor- gold paint and some Caran D`Ache neocolor and faber castell to make some depth. And finally adhedered some embellishments to it. So a huge Thanks fot Nicecrane Design for this beautiful image.

The images from Nicecrane are absolutely adorable and I had so much fun creating with them. So, I was inspired by autumn colours, different shades of brown and green. I also love fairies as you might have seen on my projects before and this little girl was so cute sitting quietly and speaking to her friend, the frog.

In honor of breast cancer awareness month (October)
I decided to create a pink card with one of the Pin Ups from the
Colorful Pin Ups collection from Nicecrane Designs

I fell in love the moment I saw these cool oldschool pinupgirls at Nicecrane and knew I wanted to do something with them. Just as Angelica Im not a pinkish girl, so I decided to use the pink as an accent colour. I based my card on a swing flip card but turned it and glued it together. The base is just a cardstock and on top of that a lot of leftovers (even some pieces you would have thrown away),woodcogs from Prima and some layers of acrylic paints. The photomat behind the pinupgirl is made from metallictape with some black gesso and another leftover piece in pink.

This is really my favourite time, I simply love autumn. I find the colours really inspiring. The background on my card is made with collage and bandage that I inked. I also embossed it with several colours. Panels are made with Ecoline on glossy card. The swirl is painted with Lumiere and heated to get the bubbles that I highlighted with rub n' buff.

Thank you to Nicecrane for giving us these nice images to create with!
